International acknowledgements: Nicola Vitiello, full professor at the BioRobotics Institute of the Sant'Anna School, has been elected to the governing board of the international association euRobotics

Nicola Vitiello, full professor at the BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, has been elected to the governing board of euRobotics, an international association based in Brussels that aims to promote research, development and innovation in robotics in Europe and to ensure industrial leadership of manufacturers, suppliers and end users of systems and services based on robotics technology.
The current euRobotics board consists of 24 members, 12 from industry, 12 from research. Vitiello is part of the latter group: his term of office will be three years.

I will try to contribute to the growth of the robotics sector in Europe and to consolidate Italy's leadership in this field" says Vitiello.

The new frontiers of wearable robotics in Vitiello's scientific activity

Nicola Vitiello is full professor at the BioRobotics Institute of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, where he is scientific head of the Wearable Robotics Lab, whose objective is to develop and validate innovative wearable robots to assist, rehabilitate or enhance specific movements. He is co-author of more than one hundred scientific articles and co-inventor of more than 20 patents/patent applications. He has coordinated major European and national research projects funded by the European Commission and INAIL. He is co-founder, board member and advisor of IUVO Srl, a spin-off company of the Scuola Sant'Anna.
